Aït Ben Haddou · Dades & Todra gorges · camel ride and night in Erg Chebbi
Our most popular route: three days from Marrakech to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga, the highest in Morocco. Kasbahs, gorges, oases and a night in the desert camp after a sunset camel ride.
Pick-up at your hotel and drive over the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka pass. Visit the ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, then continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses to the Dades Valley, famous for its rock formations. Dinner and night at a hotel in the valley.
Morning walk in the Todra Gorge, with walls up to 300 m high. Continue through Tinghir and Erfoud to Merzouga. In the late afternoon you ride a camel into the dunes of Erg Chebbi to watch the sunset, then dinner and music around the fire at the camp.
Sunrise over the dunes, breakfast and camel ride back. Long drive back to Marrakech through N'Kob, the Draa Valley and Ouarzazate, with stops for lunch and photos. Arrival in the evening.
